About Us

Voices of Newport is the booster organization supporting the Newport High School Choir.

As a subsidiary of Newport High School's Knights Athletics Booster Association (KABA, we are a 501c3 Non-Profit.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Voices of Newport (VON) is to provide student members of the school choir program with opportunities to perform, compete, improve their skills as musicians, and expand their appreciation of music.

Fundraising

In support of this mission, VON raises funds to provide for Choir needs that exceed the school budget, volunteer time and talents to the Newport Choir

and safeguard the assets and well being of the organization.

Money raised by VON lowers the fee amount students pay for transportation, uniforms, chaperons and to cover other expenses.

VON enables students to gain exposure to more field trips, performances and education from arts industry professionals.

Specific uses of funds raised may include, but are not be limited to:

• Dress fittings, chaperone fees for fall camp

• Fundraisers: Newport idol and Dessert Knight

• vocal coaching and accompaniment

• Sheet music

• Financial Aide for trips, camps, performance attire, sweatshirts, etc.

• Snacks and food for class and performances
